.:Laser Tag:.
What is Zap Zone Laser Tag
Zap Zone Laser Tag is more than just a game, it is an experience. With wearable technology that seems to jump from a sci-fi movie, you enter a whole new world. With laser beams firing all around you and your pack computer helping you along, you almost forget what century you're in.
Zap Zone laser tag features a team oriented system where working together wins you more points. Both children and adults enjoy Zap Zone Laser Tag and are able to have a challenging and exciting time.
Using the Laser-Blast system we are able to have more than your average “tag the other team” game. With bases to capture and protect, megablasters that you can arm and special computer enhancements like shields and photons, Zap Zone Laser Tag is the high tech adventure you're gonna love.
What to Expect
A usual laser tag game at Zap Zone will take around 20 minutes of this dimension's time. When you first come in and get over the new enviroment, come up to the front desk and we'll get you going. After you pay and are signed up for Laser Tag take a few moments to walk around and get used to the blacklighting. Feel free to watch the excitement of the teams coming out to get their score cards and maybe start developing strategies with your team. When we announce your game over the sound system, you'll be loaded into the briefing room.
The Briefing Room
Here the staff member explains the specific game, how to use the equpment, and the safety rules. These are incredibly important, so make sure that you listen carefully otherwise you might lose out on the subtile hints given througout the briefing. After the briefing you will be split up into 2 or 3 teams. This would be a good time to ask any questions or complement the staff's amazing ability to answer every question you had before you could ask it. After you're into your teams you will be allowed into the vesting room.
The Vesting Room
Once you find a pack of your color put it on over your head with the phaser in front (unless of course you have the amazing ability to shoot accurately behind you). Check the back of your phaser for your pack name. This is very important to remember as it will correspond to the print out that you'll receive at the end of the game. (Also, when you tag someone your pack name will show up on their screen letting them know it was you who tagged them.) Once everyone is vested, in their teams, and have been exhausted of all their questions, the staff member will begin the game sequence. It's about this time that a quiet hush falls over the players like a calm before the storm. The pack lights go down, the arena door opens, and then your hit with the pounding music as the computer announces that you have 15 seconds to hide. And so it begins...
The Arena
By now you should be used to the blacklighting and dimly lit enviroment, but the adrenaline pumping music, laser beams shooting around you, and the futuristic arena will pull you into the game and you'll have to think about how cool it looked later. Being 4,000 square feet plus balcony and ramps, there are plenty of places to find cover and perform sneak attacks. The game lasts 15 minutes and you have infinate lives and ammo. There is no reloading and no limit to the times you can be tagged, so you are playing for the entire game time.
Points (or “How-to-Win”)
When the game is finished the arena computer will announce it and your pack computer will tell you as well. On the back of your laser you can look and it will tell you how many times you got hit. (This may or may not be something you want to share with your friends.) Come back to the vesting room where the staff member will scan out your pack and you will hang it up and continue out the door to await your scores at the front desk.
